WILLIAM H. RICHMOND ARCHITECT
CHOSEN TO DESIGN
YARMOUTH CULTURAL CENTER
For Immediate Release
William H. Richmond Architect of Yarmouth
Port has been awarded a contract for design services for the
initial phase of the renovation and addition to the Yarmouth
Community Cultural Center.
Formerly the Old Bass River Savings Bank on Old Main Street
in South Yarmouth, the center is envisioned as a facility
for courses in theater, art, history, dance and writing for
people of all ages. Supporters also want to promote exhibits,
lectures and performances there.
“It is an historic building
with enormous potential,” said Richmond, who specializes
in design projects for the arts community. “Many dedicated
volunteers are laying plans and raising money to make the
cultural center a reality.”
Richmond has more than 40 years of architectural
design experience with clients throughout New England, most
recently as a principal in the firm of Brown Lindquist Fenuccio
and Richmond Architects, Inc. Some past projects include studies
and designs for school districts, libraries and commercial
buildings throughout New England. His most recent projects
include work on the Grant Building in Middleborough, and facilities
for the Falmouth Housing Authority and the Yarmouth Park Department.
